How to Brew Rooibos Tea

  1. Use one teaspoon of Rooibos in a fine tea strainer per 6 ounces of water.
  2. Pre-warm your teapot or cup with hot water then empty.
  3. Pour boiling water over the Rooibos and steep for four to ten minutes. The duration will depend upon your personal taste.
  4. Rooibos is low in tannin and will not increase in bitterness with time.
  5. Remove the tea strainer. Rooibos may be served "black" or can handle milk, sugar, honey, lemon or other flavour enhancers.
       Rooibos can also be enjoyed chilled.
