How to Brew Rooibos Tea
- Use one teaspoon of Rooibos in a fine tea strainer
per 6 ounces of water.
- Pre-warm your teapot or cup with hot water then empty.
- Pour boiling water over the Rooibos and steep for four
to ten minutes. The duration will depend upon your personal
taste.
- Rooibos is low in tannin and will not increase in bitterness
with time.
- Remove the tea strainer. Rooibos may be served "black"
or can handle milk, sugar, honey, lemon or other flavour
enhancers.
Rooibos
can also be enjoyed chilled.
